Dog Buddy Match was conceived and founded by long time dog lover and owner Sam Lovett.

Necessity being the mother of invention, the concept was born when Sam was looking for alternatives to leaving his dog alone all day.

Like most dogs, his dog doesn't like being left alone and was prone to chewing, destroying and digging while spending the day alone in the backyard.

The neighbor’s dog, meanwhile, tended to bark a lot whenever he was left alone.

So, one day Sam asked the neighbors if his dog could spend the day with theirs. They agreed, and two amazing things immediately occurred. Sam's dog stopped destroying things and the neighbor’s dog stopped his long barking sessions.

The arrangement worked out so well, in fact, that it became the normal routine from the first day. And the two dogs? They’ve been best buddies for more than a year and a half now.

Dog Buddy Match was born out of the desire to help other dogs and their owners find the same sort of arrangements for their dogs and, in doing so, help make the world a happier and better place for dogs – two at a time.
